Meet Elisa
Elisa completed her Masters of Osteopathic Medicine in 2018 at Southern Cross University. She also holds a degree in Exercise Science and has a Diploma of Remedial Massage. She has worked as an Exercise Physiologist, Sport and Recreation Instructor, Massage therapist, and has been a University anatomy tutor at SCU.
Her desire to learn and expand her knowledge and understanding of the human body has propelled her over the years to grow and focus her studies in osteopathy. Her university research project titled “The effects of osteopathic intervention in the treatment of cervicogenic headaches: a review of literature”, has given her a greater understanding of neck pain and its direct relation to headaches.
Elisa has a special interest in nervous system dysregulation and the affects this has on our physical, mental and emotional health. The vagus nerve influences our breathing, digestive function and heart rate, all of which can have a huge impact on our overall health.
Elisa has recently focused her studies towards treating scoliosis with stretching/strengthening exercises.
